Roman Glass Jug


Ca. 3rd–4th century AD. Roman. A deep green/transparent jug featuring a spherical body on a concave base, a slender cylindrical neck decorated with a trailed band topped by a splayed circular rim. A semi-circular handle with thumb rest extends from shoulder to rim.

Provenance: Property of a West London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/International art market in the 1990s.
