Description
c. 4th century BC. Greek. Black glazed terracotta skyphos with a red-brown ring foot and lower body, a horizontal black line running around the lower body, a black glazed main body extending outwards, two handles, and a lip around the large circular mouth. The interior is glazed black too. The style is characteristic of Apulia in the heel of Italy during this period. Skyphoi were two-handled wine cups designed for drinking.
